Section R804.3.6 is titled 'Roof trusses' and covers requirements for roof-ceiling construction. The requirement for cold-formed steel roof trusses to comply with a standard, where specific bracing requirements don't exist, for trusses to be braced in accordance with accepted industry practice, such as a specific industry guide, and for trusses to be connected to the bearing wall in a certain manner is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
