Section R804.3.5 is titled 'Framing of openings in roofs and ceilings' and covers requirements for roof-ceiling construction. The requirement for openings in cold-formed steel roofs and ceilings to be framed and connected by a certain method is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
