R803.2.3

Section R803.2.3 is titled 'Installation' and covers requirements for roof-ceiling construction. The allowance for wood structural panels used for roof sheathing to have joints staggered or not staggered, where attached to wood roof framing, the requirement to be installed in accordance with a table in this code or another standard, where attached to cold-formed steel framing, the requirement to be attached in accordance with another table in this code, and where installed in accordance with a table in this code, to have a maximum cantilever beyond gable endwalls is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
