Section R803.2.1.1 is titled 'Exposure durability' and covers requirements for roof-ceiling construction. The requirement for wood structural panels which will be permanently exposed to the outdoors to be manufactured for such use, and clarification that the underside of panels exposed to the outdoors may be identified as a specific type is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
