R802.11.1

Section R802.11.1 is titled 'Uplift resistance' and covers requirements for roof-ceiling construction. The requirement for roof-ceiling assemblies to have uplift resistance in accordance with one of two sections of this code, excepting for where certain conditions are not exceeded, the allowance for compliance with a table in this code is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
