Section 703.12.3 is titled 'Water-resistive barrier' and covers requirements for exterior wall coverings. The requirement for a water-resistive barrier installed per a cross-referenced section of this code, and the lapping arrangement relative to flashing installed per another cross-referenced section of this code is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent water damage to the building.
