Section R703.11 is titled 'Vinyl siding' and covers the requirements for the manufacturing of vinyl siding. A requirement for certification and labeling of vinyl siding in accordance with a cross-referenced standard is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent vinyl siding from detaching from the wall framing, premature degradation of vinyl siding, premature degradation from water intrusion through exterior walls into a building, and to require a minimum general quality in the manufacturing of vinyl siding.
