Section R610.3.2 is titled 'SIP screws' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for structural insulation panel screws to be made of a certain material, be provided by the panel manufacturer, be long enough to penetrate a minimum distance, and have a minimum size shank and head is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
