R608.7.2.3

Section R608.7.2.3 is titled 'Solid wall segments at corners' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for exterior concrete walls to have solid wall segments at corners which are of adequate length to develop the reinforcement adjacent to the opening in tension in accordance with another section of this code, clarification on measuring inside and outside corners, for the section to comply with another section of this code to contribute to the total length required by another section of this code, and the maximum distance from a corner that a segment which may contribute to the total length required must be is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
