Section R606.3.5.1 is titled 'Grout placement' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for masonry wall grout placement method, timing, consolidation, maximum pour height and lift, minimum size of spaces for grout, and horizontal joint creation method, as well as disallowance for pumping grout through aluminum pipes is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
