R603.3.2.1

Section R603.3.2.1 is titled 'Gable endwalls' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement for cold-formed steel studs to be of a size and thickness in conformance with one of two tables in this code, dependent on the height of the studs is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.

The model shows two gable endwalls - one with studs less than 10' in height, the other with studs greater than 10' in height.
