Section R603.3.1 is titled 'Wall to foundation or floor connection' and covers requirements for wall construction. The requirement to connect cold-formed steel walls to foundations or floors in accordance with a table and one of four figures in this code, for anchor bolts to be located a maximum distance from corners and termination of bottom tracks, for anchor bolts to be embedded a minimum dimension, dependent on material, and allowance for anchor straps to be used in lieu of bolts as long as they provide equivalent anchorage and are installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
