Section R405.1.1 is titled 'Precast concrete foundations' and covers requirements for foundation drainage. The requirement to provide a drainage system for precast concrete foundations, for exterior drainage pipes to be covered with a filter membrane, and for the system to discharge to one of two locations is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent water from entering the building through the foundation.
