R404.1.2.1

Section R404.1.2.1 is titled 'Masonry foundation walls' and covers the requirements for the construction of foundation walls using concrete, clay, and rubble stone masonry. Cross-referenced tables and sections which masonry must conform to, and disallowance for rubble stone to be used in seismic design D categories is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
