R403.1.6.1

Section R403.1.6.1 is titled 'Foundation anchorage in seismic design categories C, D₀, D₁ and D₂' and covers requirements for foundation construction. In specific seismic zones, the requirement to anchor foundations to light-frame construction in accordance with another section of this code, as well as the requirements of this section is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
