R402.3.1

Section R402.3.1 is titled 'Precast concrete foundation materials' and covers requirements for the use of concrete panels which are assembled in a factory and shipped to the construction site. The requirement to use concrete of a minimum specific strength, reinforcement steel that conforms to a standard, is of a minimum strength, and has a minimum amount of concrete cover, connectors which meet a specific grade, and nonstructural fibers and grout which conform to specific standards is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
