R402.3

Section R402.3 is titled 'Precast concrete' and covers the requirements for the use of concrete panels which are assembled in a factory and shipped to the construction site. A cross-reference to another section of the code for the design of precast concrete and requirement to follow this code and the manufacturer's instructions is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.

The model shows a precast concrete section which gets installed on site by crane and bolted together with adjacent panels.
