R322.3.10

Section R322.3.10 is titled 'Tanks' and covers requirements for flood-resistant construction. In coastal flood hazard zones, the requirement to install underground tanks in such a manner as to prevent movement and collapse under flood conditions, to limit above-ground tanks to at or above the design flood elevation benchmark, and where installed on platforms, for the platform to be constructed or supported in a certain manner is established. The purpose of this section is to limit damage and loss to buildings and structures due to flooding, which are constructed in areas prone to such.
