R321 Overview

Section R321 is titled 'Elevators and Platform Lifts' and covers the requirements for conveyances used to move people between different elevations. The section does not contain any technical language and only cross-references other codes and standards. The standards for elevators and lifts as well as the code for accessible routes (where required by chapter 11 of the IBC), are established.
