R317.2.1

Section R317.2.1 is titled 'Required information' and covers requirements for protection of wood and wood-based products from premature decay. The information needed in a quality mark for pressure-preservative-treated wood is established. The purpose of this section is to assure treated wood is readily identifiable for its intended purpose. This section has an exception which allows for limited marking for small pieces of wood. The purpose of this exception is to allow for a practical method for marking small pieces.
