Section R311.8 is titled 'Ramps' and while there is no language in this section, it intends to cross-reference all of its subsections, which cover details for ramp construction. The purpose of this section is to mandate that when ramps are installed that they are constructed to reduce the risk of trip, fall, entanglement, and bump hazards as well as to provide an efficient pathway between different levels.
