R302.10

Section R302.10 is titled 'Flame spread index and smoke-developed index for insulation' and covers the requirements for limiting insulation to those which have a maximum speed fire will spread across it and the amount of smoke it will produce. A cross-reference to subsections for technical details is established. The purpose of this section is to slow the spread of fire and limit the amount of smoke in the event of a fire.
