Section R301.2.4.1 is titled 'Alternative provisions' and covers requirements for floodplain construction. A cross-reference to another standard allowed for floodplain construction in lieu of this code, subject to the limitations of this code is established. The purpose of this section is to allow for an alternative standard which has minimally equivalent requirements as this code.
