Section R301.1 is titled 'Application' and covers requirements for structural loading of buildings and structures. The types of structural loads to be considered, the parts of the building/structure that must be considered, and clarification that all provisions of this code are deemed to comply with this section is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent structural failure.
