Section R1005.2 is titled 'Decorative shrouds' and covers requirements for factory-built chimneys. The requirement for decorative shrouds to be specifically listed and labeled for use with a factory-built fireplace system and installed according to the manufacturer's instructions is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent buildings from catching fire.
