R1003.15.2

Section R1003.15.2 is titled 'Option 2' and covers requirements for masonry chimneys. The allowance for determining masonry chimney flue size in accordance with a figure in this code, for methods of determining the cross-sectional area of flues, and the method for determining the height of the chimney is established. The purpose of this section is to prevent smoke from entering the building and the building from catching fire.
