Appendices in the code are lettered A through L and cover a range of different topics. Some of the appendices are regulations for specialized types of construction that don't fit neatly within the base code, such as Group U - agricultural buildings, rodentproofing, signs, patio covers, and site grading; some are administrative in nature, such as a board of appeals system. The code language clearly dictates that appendices must be specifically referenced to be considered legally adopted.
