Chapter 23 is titled 'Wood' and covers the requirements for the use of wood. There are different methods and standards which are referenced, and both performance and prescriptive based design paths are presented. The purpose of this chapter is to establish minimun requirements for structural stability, fire resistance, basic quality, protection from premature degradation (including fasteners), and labeling.
The model shows a section of a building using wood for the walls, floors, ceiling, and roof.
