Chapter 10 Overview

Chapter 10 is titled 'Means of Egress' and covers requirements for the layout of a building and site as well as fall protection. The purpose of this chapter is to reduce the risk of injury or death in the event of a mass exiting by occupants and/or occupant traversal through the building, as well as to provide requirements for alternate exiting means in the event that access to the primary exiting system is blocked.
